Tetrachromacy (December 2016)

"Tetrachromacy" is a side-scrolling platforming shooting game about a robot hero saving the world from space viruses. The game uses a custom game controller made with a joystick and four AC plugs connected by arduino. To defeat the viruses, the player needs to plug in the matching color plug into the socket and change the robots bullet color. Tetrachromacy examines the way we plug into our everyday devices, and reimagines our physical interactions with electronics in an arcade game. Tetrachromacy was showcased at Babycastles NYC in December of 2016.

Tetrachromacy was created for the Parsons MFA Design & Technology class titles 'The New Arcade.' The goal of the class was to create video games that are played using custom designed controllers.
